New! Gel Lifting and Handling Tools!

1 Lift gel off plate                    2. Transport gel

        3. Fixing and Staining                     4.  Lift gel from fix/stain solution!

The above tools will greatly assist you in handling gels, especially large gels.  The green (color can vary) Gel Lifter (Figure 1), comes with a sharp edge on two ends, enabling it to get under the gel.  Adding water helps the gel slide onto the Lifter.  Gel Lifter (Figure 2) makes it easy to transport a fragile gel. Figure 3 shows the gel being carried over to a Container for fixing and staining.  Use the Gel Screen (Figure 4) for lifting the gel out of the fix/stain solution.

Scraper for removing Gels from low fluorescent glass plates containing Bind Silane.  This Scraper is made of plastic to assure glass is not scratched during gel removal.  Use this tool when discarding the gel and cleaning the glass.
