                             BioRad Protean II, IIxi and XL and Protean Plus Dodeca                                                              Gels with flat top for 2D electrophoresis

      Standard Size Cassette ("BL" designation in the Part Number) front glass plate is 16 cm tall x 20 cm wide,

                                                     back glass plate is 18.3 cm tall x 20 cm wide.                                                 

                                                The Taller Cassette ("BXL" designation in the Part Number) front glass plate is 20 cm tall x 20 cm wide,

                                                    back glass plate is 22.3 cm tall x 20 cm wide. 

                                              (Gels are available with sample wells or with a flat top for 2D (IPG strip) electrophoresis) 

                               
ACRYLAMIDE CONCENTRATIONS:
Any single concentration and many gradients are available.

GEL TYPES (buffer systems):
Denaturing Gels (Tris-Glycine) are prepared in: .375M Tris-HCl, pH 8.8, 0.1% SDS
Non-Denaturing Gels (Tris-Glycine) are prepared in: .375M Tris HCl, pH 8.8. (no SDS).
Non-Denaturing, for Proteins, DNA, RNA (double stranded) (TBE) are prepared in: .090M Tris, .080M Boric Acid, ph 8.3, 0.0026M EDTA
TBE-Urea Gels: TBE buffer with Urea (7 molar unless otherwise specified)
Tricine Gels (Tris-Tricine) for low molecular weight separations.

GEL THICKNESS:
0.75mm, 1.0mm, or 1.50mm

SAMPLE WELLS:
10 wells, 15 wells, Flat top for 2D electrophoresis or Flat Top with small reference well (Gel is poured within 1.0 cm from top of front plate), No sample wells (3.5 cm cavity, so you can poor your own stacking gel and create more or fewer sample wells yourself).

SHELF LIFE: Two months.
